Hey yall! If you follow me on social media, you'll know me as Young&Kinky. When most people hear my name they immediately think of something inappropriate. One bold man even surprisingly snapchatted me and told me he wanted to 'own me', implying that my name meant I was into BDSM.

Im here to tell you that when I use the word 'kinky' it is in no way associated with anything sexual. Kinky is an adjective meaning 'having kinks or twists', according to google. I understand the reason people are quick to assume by my name that I am a hot young thing looking for a good time, but I'm here to reassure you I am not.

Young and Kinky is a brand. It is a business. It is my identity. My name is Courtney Young and I am a kinky curly natural girl. I love my natural hair and everything about it, though is was no easy journey for me. Through this blog I hope to inspire other naturals (relaxed girls too, hey healthy hair is important for every woman) to be the best version of themselves. To get their hair to the desired lengths, maintain healthy curls, and keep that black girl magic poppin.

Young and Kinky is not only about natural hair tho sis. I'll also dive into topics in the beauty and fashion world, as well as some personal topics we can all relate to.
